Makers Of Sridevi Starrer 'Mom' Hope Its Box Office Collections To Rise Up

‘Mom’ seems to have taken a slow pickup in terms of the box office collections. According to sources, the Sridevi starrer collected an estimated amount of Rs. 2.50 crore on its release day. The movie performed less than expected, but it achieved a better first day box office collection than Sridevi’s previous movie English Vinglish.

The movie is a suspense emotional thriller which revolves around a mother and her young teenage daughter. The movie depicts the unsafe environment around women and young girls in the country. The movie also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Kumar in major roles. 'Mom' has released in four major languages that include Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.

This movie will also mark Sridevi’s 300th movie since her movie debut 50 years ago. This movie is also the directorial debut of Ravi Udywar. Udyawar has also penned the script of the movie. The movie has been received well so far and is expected to improve its box office status with the help of good reviews and word of mouth.
