Moment Of Glory For Arjun Kapoor And Malala

He has a huge fan following in India, but a few days back, Arjun Kapoor experienced a fanboy moment himself.

The actor recently travelled to New York, USA, to attend the Global Citizen Festival. While waiting backstage, he spotted the Nobel Prize laureate, Malala Yousafzai. “Although Arjun is used to fans chasing him for pictures and autographs, he was too shy to approach Malala, talk to her, and ask for a picture with her. At the same time, a few of Malala’s friends recognised him as the Gunday (2014) hero. He was happy and surprised,” says an insider.

Later, when Malala’s friends asked him to pose for pictures with them, Arjun readily agreed. “He also requested Malala if he could get a picture clicked with her. They chatted about her work, which impressed Arjun a lot,” adds the insider.

When contacted, the actor said, “It was great. I had a brief chat with Malala. I told her that she gives us hope for a better future.”
