    Osian Cinefan Film Festival ends

    The 10-day-long 12th Osian Cinefan Film Festival, which concluded yesterday in the capital, was an award ceremony with a difference due to its unconventional choices. Ajay Behls directorial venture BA Pass won two awards at Osians film fest in the Indian competition category the best film and the best actor awards for Shadab Kamal. While Ajita Suchitra Veera was honoured with the best directors award for Ballad of Rustom, Rii got the best actress award for Cosmic Sex. The film fest, which began on July 27, held the screening of over 175 films from 38 countries were, including Japanese director Keiichi Satos Asura, Rituparno Ghoshs Chitrangada. In the international film category Turkish films won four awards. Inside bagged the best film award in the Asian and Arab competition category, Silent won the best film in the short films category while The Bus was given a special mention award in the same category. Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit was the chief guest at the award ceremony, hosted by Bollywood actors Ranvir Shorey and Vinay Pathak. Dikshit praised Osians chairman Neville Tuli for "being bold enough" in putting together the fest despite several hurdles.
