Paresh Rawal Never Wished To Work In Pak Films, Says He Has Been Misquoted

Lately, actor-politician Paresh Rawal made statements favouring Pakistani films and TV shows. On Wednesday, a source quoted the actor wherein he said, "[I would] love to work in Pakistani films and shows" and also mentioned that he appreciates "the way they act, the story, the writing, the language". The actor went on to say that he finds Indian shows boring.

However, on Thursday, the Hera Pheri actor outrightly dismissed his earlier assertion and said that he had been misquoted, "I never said I want to work in Pakistani films, neither it is my wish. I want to categorically state this. I have been misquoted", the actor told ANI. "I just said that I liked Pakistan's TV serial 'Humsafar', but never said ours are boring. I only said ours are a little slow", he added.

Not long ago, the wrath of politicians befell the Pakistani actor Fawad Khan before the release of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, and ended up having a ban been put on Pakistani artists. Despite that, the 67-year-old actor feels that these artists bridge the gap between the rival countries. He said, "I believe that artistes and cricketers don't come and throw bombs. They are not terrorists, rather they bridge the gap between the two countries. But when the mood is not good, why rake up issues at that time? It is better to stay with your country".  His declaration brings forth his disagreeability with the ban.
