Pavitra Rishta actor Ankita Lokhande might act opposite Sanjay Dutt in Malang

Actor Ankita Lokhande might make her Bollywood debut with Sanjay Dutt starrer film, Malang. Reports are doing the round that the Pavitra Rishta actor is currently in talks with the makers of the film. If things fall in place, Ankita will be seen romancing Dutt in it. She is also known for her relationship and a much publicised breakup with actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Malang is a love story that will have Dutt playing a character with grey shades. The female lead opposite him is a CBI officer, the same role Ankita is being considered for .

“We are in the process of finalising the leading lady for Malang opposite Sanjay sir. However, nothing has been confirmed yet. It is one of the toughest roles to play so we are taking time to finalise the leading lady,” says Aarambhh Singh, who will be helming the project. Aarambhh had earlier assisted filmmaker Omung Kumar in Bhoomi. Malang will also mark his directorial debut in Bollywood.

This is not the first time that Ankita has been considered for roles in Bollywood. Few years back, it was being speculated that she would make her foray into the industry with Happy New Year (2014) and was supposed to play Deepika Padukone’s role. But, things didn’t materialise. There were also rumours that she might work in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati, but again, that did not work out.
