Prakash Jha Talks About His Acting Debut

Filmmaker Prakash Jha has made his on-screen debut with the recent film Jai Gangaajal. He played the role of a corrupt cop named B.N.Singh and has been well appreciated for it. The filmmaker recently revealed that this appreciation has encouraged him to step in front of the camera again.

Prakash stated, "I am encouraged and humbled. All I can say is that it is amazing the way the people have reacted... I feel really humbled". When asked if he would return as an actor, the filmmaker said, "That is obvious. I mean, of course this encouragement will help me... What do you think should I be seen or not? You will see more".

Talking about the film, Prakash seems to be satisfied with the response it is getting as he said, "I don’t have to tell you the audience has loved it. They are loving the film. It is doing steady business because of word of mouth. Otherwise a female-oriented film doesn’t take a huge kind of opening but it has had a decent opening... So it is doing well". Prakash has also directed Jai Gangaajal which stars Priyanka Chopra as a tough cop.
