Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Set Lights Cost 15 Crore

A Mid-day report has stated that the lights used for the set of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo cost Rs. 15 crore. According to a source, the price for using the lights for the 258 day period was between Rs. 13 crore and Rs. 15 crore. Apparently, Sooraj has not held back at all with the film.

The report also mentions a statement given by a source close to the production team for the film. The source said, “Exquisite and expensive lights were purchased for the shoot because Sooraj sir was clear about lending a grand look to the film. And with Salman deciding to let go of his fee, the director was able to spend generously on the production”.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo stars Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor in leading roles. The movie will bring back Salman’s favourite character Prem, which established his presence in the industry through the film Maine Pyar Kiya. Sooraj Barjatya had directed the film and has also taken the directors seat for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
