Priyanka Chopra Declared ‘Most Sensational Celebrity’ In Indian Cyberspace By Intel

Priyanka Chopra has been declared as the most sensational celebrity in Indian Cyber Space whose name is constantly involved in creating malware ridden suspicious websites. Shraddha Kapoor, who stood at number six, last year, rose to number two this year in the Intel’s list. The list also included Kapil Sharma at number three; he is the only TV celeb to make it to the list. Other celebrities in the list were Jacqueline Fernandez, Kangana Ranaut, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Emran Hashmi, Sunny Leone, Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

Intel security said in a statement, “Cyber criminals keep a lookout for ways to take advantage of consumer interest around popular culture events including award shows, TV show premieres, film music launches, celebrity breakups, and more”. It has been found out that 11.47 per cent of the links generated with the celeb names lead to malware affected websites. “Cyber criminals capitalise on consumer interest around popular culture by luring unsuspecting consumers to risky sites to steal sensitive personal data”, said the head of Intel Security Group India Engineering Centre.

Further the report from Intel has suggested the internet users to beware of such malware affected links. “Only download videos from well-known, legitimate sites…Use caution when searching for ‘Torrent’. This term is by far the highest virus-prone search term”, read the report, adding that the users should avoid logging in and providing in credit card credentials as it could lead to the identity theft.
