The upcoming Salman Khan starrer ‘Sultan’ has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Yash Raj Films. Recently, a source revealed that producer Ramesh Taurani had the rights to the title ‘Sultan’ and that he gave it to Salman without charging anything. “Salman asked Taurani for the title. He agreed to give it to him right away”, the source stated.

“Later, Aditya Chopra, the producer of Sultan, called him and offered to compensate the producer financially. But Taurani considers the Khans family, there was no question of him accepting any money. He gave it away free of cost”, said the source.

Salman and Ramesh first worked together in the 1991 film ‘Paththar Ke Phool’. Ramesh gave Rs. 11 lakh as signing amount for the music rights for the film. It is believed that if the producer had not made that investment, the movie might not have been made. In the upcoming film ‘Sultan’ Sallu bhai plays a professional wrestler. The film will be released on July 6.
