Rakesh Roshan Will Not Shift Kaabil Release Date

Recently, the ‘Raees’ team had confirmed that they will postpone the release date of their film to January 26 next year because “a film of such magnitude require the appropriate showcasing”. Though the most obvious reason for the shift in date was the clash with Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’, the ‘Raees’ team did not think about the clash with Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’. Now, ‘Kaabil’ producer Rakesh Roshan has stated that he has no intentions of shifting the release date of his film.

“We announced it first, way back in February, and will stick to our release date. I can't comment on what happens at the box-office now, but we have begun a three-month marathon schedule after which we will embark on post-production”, Rakesh stated. ‘Kaabil’, directed by Sanjay Gupta, stars Yami Gautam opposite Hrithik.

Talking about the film, the director shared, “It's an interesting love story-cum-revenge drama based in Mumbai. Hrithik and Yami fall in love and get married, but in a plot twist her character dies, following which he sets out to seek revenge”. He also revealed that the Bang Bang actor plays a blind man in the film. What do you think about this new clash of the titans?
