Ranbir Kapoor may debut on TV with Nach Baliye 8, Sonakshi Sinha to judge show

While Sonakshi Sinha has been confirmed as one of the judge in the eighth season of Nach Baliye, some reports suggest that Ranbir Kapoor could be making his debut on TV by hosting the first episode of the dance reality show.

Choreographer Terence Lewis and filmmaker Mohit Suri are the other judges with Sonakshi. The show will go on air on April 2.

The makers of Nach Baliye 8 have already confirmed TV star Karan Tacker as the anchor.

“We are very excited and have our fingers crossed to see Ranbir Kapoor set the stage on fire with his dance and stage presence as the host. Ranbir is a natural dancer and he will surely set a benchmark for the 10 jodis and prep them up for the entire season. If things goes as planned, we might be shooting later this week,” an Indian Express report quoted a statement from the makers.

The shoot is expected to take place on March 25, it added.

Hindustan Times could not independently verify the report.

TV stars Divyanka Tripathi and husband Vivek Dahiya have already shot for the promotional video for this season of Nach Baliye. Dipika Kakar-Shoaib Ibrahim and Bharti Singh, along with her writer beau Haarsh Limbachiyaa, will be seen on the show too. Other couples include RJ Pritam and his wife, as well as Bigg Boss 10’s Mona Lisa and husband Vikrant. Lovebirds Mohit Sehgal and Sanaya Irani have confirmed being a part of Nach Baliye 8.

Ranbir Kapoor is currently working on Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on Sanjay Dutt and is gearing up for the release of his next, Jagga Jasoos opposite Katrina Kaif.
