REVEALED: Why Aishwarya Rai gave her nod to ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’

Last seen on the silver screen almost 5 years back in Mani Ratnam’s Raavan, Aishwarya Rai’s comeback to the cinematic arena has been awaited with bated breath. While she is all set to make an impactful return with Sanjay Gupta’s Jazba, the actress revealed why she said yes to Karan Johar for ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma besides Aish herself, is a modern story talking about love and relationships. The film reportedly also stars Saif Ali Khan. Aishwarya in an interview to a leading daily told that the script that Karan Johar narrated was very amicable and put a smile on her face. “When I heard the script of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, it made me smile. For me as an actor, it is exciting to be a part of this story and with Karan, it will be the way it should be told. Thus am happy to be on board,” she said.

While Jazba is already underway and will most likely release in 2016, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will go on the floors in mid next year. Let’s hope the long wait Aishwarya’s fans have had to see her on screen is worth enough.
