RIP Reema Lagoo: Bhagyashree says she was a mother-in-law anyone would want

Actor Bhagyashree, who worked with late actor Reema Lagoo in the film Maine Pyaar Kiya (1989), says the news of her untimely demise came as a shock to her. The 48-year-old says that no matter what, Reema was always happy and brightened up the sets. “My first memory of her is her peach complexion and light eyes. She reminded me so much of my mother. It didn’t take me long to get close to her. She was one person who was always smiling. We would often sit and just chit-chat,” says Bhagyashree.

The actor says that she has fond memories of the Sooraj Barjatya directorial , thanks to Reema . “I remember the shoot of Maine Pyar Kiya. She was a mother-in-law anyone would want. She was always so lively,” she says.

Bhagyashree regrets not keeping in touch with her. “Such times make you think that you meet so many wonderful people in your life, but our personal lives take over. It gets tough to keep in touch. Then when you get such news, you feel lost. She was such a lovely person and I feel —why didn’t I keep in touch with her. I hope God gives her peace,” she says.
