Desperate For A Hit, Saif Ali Khan Orders Major Changes To 'Chef'

The last few years have not been in favour of Saif Ali Khan with most of his films failing at the box office. His last successful movie was ‘ Race 2’ which released in 2013. And then came ‘ Go Goa Gone ’ in the same year which failed badly.

Since then Saif has been trying hard to prove his mettle. After ‘ Bullett Raja ’, ‘ Humshakals ’, ‘Happy Ending’, ‘ Phantom ’ bombed at the box office, Saif did ‘ Rangoon ’ hoping that the movie might impress audience, but it hit the bottom. And now after a series of flops, the Nawab of Bollywood has pinned hopes on his upcoming film ‘Chef’.

Saif is doing his every bit to make sure that ‘Chef’ does not meet disaster at the box office. Recently, the trailer of the movie was released which met lukewarm response. The film’s lukewarm response made Saif worried and now he has suggested some changes to the film to suit Bollywood ‘sensibilities’.

He has not only asked for changes in the film, but also in forthcoming trailers. “Saif wants a hit. His previous outings haven’t done well at the box office. He has worked with some interesting names but they have not managed to get a hit film in recent times,” says a source.

The source further added, “Saif is a big star. He could have continued to be a part of the big league had he not chosen to work in the wrong movies. He wants to make sure he gets a hit now.”  ‘Chef’ directed by Raja Krishna Menon stars South Indian actress Padmapriya and child actor Svar Kamble besides Saif.
