Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan can never be reunited, as per Salim Khan

Veteran scriptwriter of the Hindi film industry and father of superstar Salman Khan, Salim Khan said that love can never happen between his son and Shah Rukh Khan as they are “rivals”. He also referred to veteran actors like Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand and Dilip Kumar who were simply on talking terms superficially, according to Senior Khan.

While launching the trailer of Sholay 3D, Salim Khan said, "They are two individuals... Grown up people. I think there cannot be love between rivals. There can be courtesy. To have love between Salman and Shah Rukh is not possible. One should not expect that if Shah Rukh's film is a success then Salman will dance and celebrate. Or if Salman's film is a hit so Shah Rukh will throw a party... Its not possible.”

He added, "Today people are intolerant, impatient... small things hurt people, there are other people to create further problem. There should be courtesy between two rivals.” Earlier when the superstars of Bollywood, SRK and Salman hugged each other at an iftaar party this year, Salim said he is not at all hopeful about the longevity of this friendship. Back in 2008 at Salman's then girlfriend Katrina Kaif's birthday party a heated argument and a fight took place between Salman and Shah Rukh which was enough to create an ever-lasting crack in their camaraderie.
