Salman Khan Backtracks on Promise to Adopt Kashmiri Family

Salman Khan made a promise to a widow to support her family but now it seems that the Dabangg star has broken it. While Salman was shooting for Bajrangi Bhaijaan in Kashmir, he was heart-stricken for a widow’s family and promised adopt the family. The family, which includes a 75-year old lady, her 40-year old daughter and her 4 grand children, has recently confessed that they have not been able to contact the Bodyguard after the completion of film’s shoot in Kashmir.

Gowhar told a popular tabloid, “I've tried to call his (Salman's) bodyguard, Shera, several times. He never answers and sometimes his phone is out of reach. Before the release of the film, they would call us, but now they've stopped taking our calls. I've left my studies and I'm looking for odd jobs to support my family, still hoping that Salman Khan will keep his promise to us”.

The tabloid also quoted a source close to Salman, as saying, “Salman has no intention of back-tracking on his promises. Since Gowhar, is the only male child in the family, he needs to take up a job nearby”. About the construction work, the source said, “work is still in progress and that the house would be ready in about a month. Once the house is complete we will send picture of it and you will see for yourself that Salman kept his promise”.
