Salman Khan outshines everyone with Ek Tha Tiger

Bollywood heartthrob Salman Khan continues his winning streak with his latest release Ek Tha Tiger, which has not only recorded the biggest opening, Rs 32 crore, at the box office but also became the fastest 100 crore grosser. The Yash Raj film, starring Katrina Kaif opposite Salman, hit the screens on August 15 and has made to the elite 100 crore club in just 5 days. According to reports, the overseas figures of the film are also very encouraging. The opening weekend in Australia was Rs 2.29 crore, UK Rs 4.75 crore, USA Rs 8.25 crore and Rs 6.79 crore. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, Ek Tha Tiger - India *actuals* Sun 23.06 cr. Total: 100.16 cr nett. SUPERB. Fastest 100 cr grosser ever - 5 days [Hindi films]. NEW RECORD!(sic). Confirming the news an excited Arpita Khan, Salmans sister, tweeted, Total 100.16 C in 5 days.. And the TIGER ROARS! Tiger Tiger Tiger.(sic)" While Ek Tha Tiger is Yash Raj's first film to cross the Rs 100 crore mark, it is the fourth consecutive Rs 100 crores grosser of Salman after -Dabangg, Ready and Bodyguard. Taran added, Ek Tha Tiger is @BeingSalmanKhan's 4th century [100 cr], the other three being Dabangg [147 cr], Ready [122 cr] and Bodyguard [148 cr].(sic). Now film pundits are hoping that ETT will break the record of 3 Idiots by grossing over 200 crores at the box office. While according to analysts, the film opened at around Rs 32 on Wednesday, Thursday Rs 13.54 crore, Friday Rs 12.12 crore, Saturday Rs 15.45 crore and Sunday Rs 21.22 core and the total collection was Rs 92.68 crore after the first five days, the producers Yash Raj Films claimed that the first five-day collections of the film stands at around Rs 100.16 crore.
