Salman Khan Signs Biggest Deal Ever With Top TV Channel

If recent reports are to be trusted, Salman Khan has inked a settlement worth Rs 1000 crores with a popular TV channel for the exclusive satellite rights of his next 10 movies plus his appearances on the channel. Back in 2013, the Sultan actor broke all the records and signed a Rs 450-500 crore deal with Star India Network. The agreement was valid for five years and gave the channel the satellite rights to broadcast all of Salman’s films, releasing from January 2013 to December 2017.

But that record was defeated by Hrithik Roshan after he signed a whopping Rs 550 crore deal with Star for his next six films, including ‘Kaabil’. With his recent contract, Salman has proved that he is the reigning superstar of Bollywood. The deal will include Kabir Khan's 'Tubelight' and Raj Kumar Santoshi's next.

A source revealed, “With Salman’s past few releases all being blockbusters - Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, for example - channels are willing to pay him triple the amount to air his films and have his presence grace their shows - be it reality shows or sports-based programmes. He recently re-negotiated his earlier contract with the same channel".

Reportedly, Ajay Devgn had inked a deal of Rs 400 crore for 10 films with the same channel. Varun Dhawan too signed a deal of Rs 300 crore for 10 movies with a channel.
