    The Dabangg actor of Bollywood, Salman Khan, has now showed inclination towards flicks of regional genre. The47-year-old has reportedly signed a Marathi project withNishikant Kamat, a National award winning director who wonBest Feature Film in Marathi honour for Dombivali Fast in 2006. Kamat’s directorial entitled Lai Bhaari will have Riteish Deshmukhaccompanying Salman in the lead.

    The filmmaker authenticated the news saying, "Salman was gracious enough to show his interest in the project. He has already shot three days with us in Hyderabad. Lets term it as a 'special appearance.'" Sources say that the actor will be seen in a typical Maharashtrian look. The maker further commented, "Quality of content is the key. Social networking sites have helped a lot in creating a buzz around Marathi films. However, even I am surprised at the sudden surge of interest for regional films which have got cash boxes ringing at the boxoffice.” Clearly Marathi film industry has found its way. Recently,Chennai Express was derailed from small screens for the sake ofSanjay Jadhav'sDuniyadari, as the film was running houseful.
