After facing a delay due to heavy rains on June 10, the session’s court passed its order today on the 2002 hit-and-run case and has rejected Salman Khan’s plea against the magistrate’s order which convicted him of culpable homicide, not amounting to murder.

After the rejection, now the actor will be tried for the previous charges and if confirmed the actor may face a 10 year imprisonment. He has been given a month’s time to appear before the court. According to his lawyer, the verdict of the lower court which raised the charges against him was ‘erroneous, bad in law and contrary to evidence on record’.

The lawyer told that the court couldn’t appreciate the fact that the actor’s act was unintentional and it was a case of pure accident. On the other hand Salman was also facing trouble from social activist Santosh Daundkar and his lawyer Abha Singh. The rejection order is definitely a major setback for the actor Salman Khan. In 2002, the actor crashed his Toyota Land Cruiser into a bakery, killing one and injuring four pavement dwellers.
