He made an application for the extension to his parole citing his wife Manyata’s ill-health as the reason. Earlier Dutt’s parole for his own ill-health in October was granted an extension for another two weeks. In May 2013 Dutt surrendered in a TADA court after the honourable Supreme Court passed its final judgement on the 1993 Bombay bomb blasts which showed enough participation on the actor’s end through illegal possession of weapons. He was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment in 2007 but it was reduced by a year later. After he served 18 months of his sentence, he was imprisoned last year to complete his remaining 42 months jail term.
