    Subhash Ghai’s films are definitely counted in the list of epic films of Hindi Cinema. The filmmaker’s flicks used to enjoy a great run at the box office and music of these movies has always been the biggest strength. Considering the trend of remakes, Subhash Ghai’s films are the hot talk of the industry these days. ‘Hero’ has already been remade and rights of ‘Ram Lakhan’ have been sold to Karan Johar recently. Now, the talk of the town is Sanjay Dutt starrer ‘Khalnayak’, which, few months ago, was speculated to have a sequel in planning. This time, the rumours were buzzing that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is interested in buying the rights of the film. After hearing the rumours, Subhash Ghai has confessed that Bhansali has approached him for the same but the deal hasn’t been locked as of now.

    Subhash Ghai told PTI, “There was a talk for sure when he (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) had come for lunch at my home and he wanted the rights of Khalnayak”. Ghai elaborated, “I have asked for around Rs 8 to 9 crore. I think he is too tied up with his current film production (Bajirao Mastani)”.

    The rumours have been doing the rounds that Karan Johar also wanted the rights of Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit starrer film. Rubbishing the rumours, Ghai said, “No, it is not true”, at the same time he added that other producers are also interested in the project but he denied of revealing any names. He added, “Suddenly this ('Khalnayak') has become the hottest product being talked about in market today. And we are getting offers from few more producers”.
