This Popular Director Has Been Approached To Direct Aashiqui 3 Starring Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra

His recent movie Badrinath Ki Dulhania, starring most loved jodi Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, was a box office success. The movie, which was the second instalment of the Dulhania franchise after Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, hit the screens on 10 March, 2017 and was appreciated by everyone. And now the director of the movie Shashank Khaitan has been approached to helm Aashiqui 3.

Yes you read it right. It is believed that the movie will be a joint production by Karan Johar and Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt’s production houses. And guess which actors have been roped in to play the lead in the movie? Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra have been roped in to play the lead in the third instalment of the Aashiqui series. Siddharth and Alia have previously worked in Student Of the Year and Kapoor And Sons.

While the first part of Aashiqui was directed by Mahesh, the second part was helmed by Mohit Suri, who is Alia’s cousin. Aashiqui 1 was a musical-romantic-drama which released in 1990 and went on to become one of the biggest hits. The second iteration starring Shraddha Kapoor and Adiyta Roy Kapoor was also appreciated by people. However, it is not known when the movie will go on floors.
