Shilpa Shetty’s Father Surendra Shetty Breathes His Last

It’s a great loss for the Shetty family as Shilpa Shetty and Shamita Shetty’s father died yesterday. Shilpa’s father, Surendra Shetty, passed away due to cardiac arrest. He took his last breath on Tuesday morning after which his heart stopped functioning.

The actress’ father was soon admitted to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Andheri. As per the reports, resuscitation was attempted on him but it didn’t work out. In a statement, the 41-year-old actor said, "We are deeply saddened to confirm the passing away of Surendra Shetty, husband of Sunanda Shetty and loving father to Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Shamita Shetty. He took his last breath at home. We request your co-operation and support to respect the family's privacy at this crucial time. The cremation will take place in Mumbai on Wednesday morning”.

The cremation took place in Mumbai today morning. Bollywood celebs including Raveena Tandon and Madhavan were among the mourners who came to pay their last homage. Desimartini expresses heartfelt condolences for the Shetty family.
