Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain Star Saumya Tandon Accuses Her Ex Co-Star Shilpa Shinde Of Lying And Using Her Name!

No conversation with TV actor Saumya Tandon of Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain fame is complete without mentioning her former co-star Shilpa Shinde. It’s been almost a year since Shilpa [Angoori bhabhi] walked out of the popular show, but looks like controversies around her refuse to die out any time soon. After allegations that she was forced to exit the show and that she wasn’t getting payments, Shilpa, earlier this year, went a step ahead and filed a sexual harassment case against Sanjay Kohli, co-producer of the show and producer Benafir Kohli’s husband. Shilpa even said that she confided in co-star Saumya [ who plays the role of Anita aka Gori mem] about Kohli’s ill intentions, however, Saumya was quick to deny this.

In a chat with us, Saumya says, “It’s very sad that even after one year of leaving the show, Shilpa has put so many things out there for people to talk about. I don’t understand that if she left the show with an intention that she won’t come back, why is she still crying, cribbing and sulking?”

Reiterating that Shilpa never confided in her, Saumya clarifies, “It was nothing else but using my name to get more mileage. It’s not true at all. I shared a very professional relationship with her. Also, I’m the kind of a person who is very confident about myself. So, it’s very kiddish to say the things that she said and I really didn’t like or appreciated those lies.”

Earlier, Shilpa went on record saying, “I spoke to Saumya also about this, but she was like – ‘Humari industry mein koi rape nai karta Shilpa’. But I told her that I was feeling very uncomfortable.”

Saumya adds that Shilpa, in a way, got caught in her own web because she clearly didn’t remember what she had said earlier. “I remember reading one of her interviews where she said that she did not wish to come to me to share anything. And later, she’s saying she confided in me. So, you can see how she is contradicting her statements,” says Saumya, adding that despite being the female leads on the same show, there was no rivalry between them.

Talking about the sexual harassment case that Shilpa has filed against the producers, Saumya says if one has been in the television industry for such a long time, they can easily make out someone’s intentions. “I didn’t get any such vibes from my producer [Sanjay Kohli] and I never noticed him having such kind of intention for any other female on our sets. In fact, he doesn’t really come on the sets and he never goes to any actor’s room or vanity at all, so I didn’t experience any such thing.”
