Shruti Haasan Planning Something Special For Women’s Day

Actress Shruti Haasan, an erstwhile singer has teamed up with Ehsaan and Loy for composing her upcoming single, to be released on Women’s Day. With her new single titled My Day in The Sun, the actress wants to give a voice to all women and a never-say-die attitude. The Bollywood diva has earlier sung popular songs like Madamiyan for Tevar, Alvida for D-day and Abhi Kuch Dino Se for Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji.  

Reportedly, the audio track of the song will be released on March 8 and the video will go on floors after a few months. Shruti who has grown up listening to the songs of Ehsaan and Loy is very excited to be working with the duo. “It's about our time, as women, to shine, to be strong. Each one's journey is different and each battle is different. I was really glad to be able to write and sing this song. Musically, it really goes back to the roots of what I've always loved - very rock n' roll and something you can sing from the heart”, the 30-year-old actress said about her new single.

On working with the gorgeous lady, Ehsaan and Loy said, “Shruti is a fantastic songwriter. We have come up with a song which is very contemporary and hard-hitting both musically and lyrically”. Shruti is currently awaiting the release of her forthcoming film, Rocky Handsome with John Abraham, on March 25.
