Shweta Tripathi, Vikrant Massey Start Shooting For Mirzapur In Benaras

Actress Shweta Tripathi , who has been applauded for her roles in Masaan and Haraamkhor is all set to be seen in a web series. The series, which has been titled Mirzapur is being produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The stars are now busy shooting for the same in the holy land of India Benaras.

Shweta’s earlier film Massan was extensively shot in Benaras, thus it is not the first time for the actress. The web series, which also has Vikrant Massey in the lead role, has been chilling out in the city with the actress in spite of the hectic schedule of their shooting. They are exploring the city, which is known for its religious significance.

Talking about her return to the holy city for the second time, the actress said, “Benaras always brings back Masaan memories and hence on the day we had an early pack up, I took Massey straight to the cafe where Vicky and I had our famous ‘Ab tou hum friends ban gaye na’ scene from Masaan. I always sit in the same spot and order the same things, cold coffee and a margarita pizza”. Moreover, the web series is based on crime and has a rural setting from north of India.
