Guess Who Welcomed TV's Tulsi Virani AKA Smriti Irani On Her Instagram Debut?

Ever since actor Katrina Kaif made her Instagram debut a week ago, there has been a flurry of congratulatory messages pouring in from Bollywood stars welcoming her. And now, the latest public figure to join Instagram is our Union Textiles Minister, Smriti Irani.

Known popularly by her screen name, Tulsi Virani, of TV soap Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Smriti marked her debut on the photo-sharing platform and surprised her fans with a throwback photo of her. She captioned the photo: Guess who’s on Insta now #tbt #goodolddays

Although Smriti’s Instagram account is yet to be verified with the much-hyped blue tick, she already has earned over 8,000 followers, at the time of writing this story.

Soon after, Smriti posted yet another throwback photo that was nothing short of a traveling back in time with filmmaker Ekta Kapoor and fellow colleague Sakshi Tanwar aka Parvati of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. Clearly, Smriti is quite upbeat about this stint, as she also thanked Ekta for making her do this. “@ektaravikapoor Thanks for pestering me to do this. Looks like a fun journey ahead. #tbt #thosewerethedays,” she wrote with the picture.

The former TV actor, Smriti, was warmly welcomed by close friend Ekta Kapoor who apparently is the one who persuaded and finally convinced Smriti to join the social networking site. Ekta shared a recent picture with her Tulsi and Parvati—Smriti and Sakshi and wrote, “Let’s welcome my friend ! A force to recon with ! Her meteoric rise stunned many but wat stuns me more is how rooted she is! Finally on instagram let’s welcome tulsi ! @smritiiraniofficial!”

Ekta also reposted the throwback photo that Smriti first shared on her Instagram page and wrote : “Yay after much persuasion !!!” Hence validating that she tried really hard to get Smriti come this far, who otherwise is quite active on micro-blogging site twitter with over 6 million followers.
