With films such as Kai Po Che! (2013) and M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016) to his credit, Sushant Singh Rajput is known to take risks and make unconventional choices through the course of his career. Now, the actor is on the lookout for original content.

Despite being just five films old, he is looking to invest in fresh talent and fund short films with interesting, original content. Sources reveal that the Raabta actor is in the process of setting up a website, which will act as a platform for writers to submit their scripts and stories.

Sushant says, “I just want to make sure that small but significant films get a chance to be made. Therefore, it is very essential to create platforms for emerging writers.” The actor, who is interested in writing, knows how important it is to nurture and preserve talent. “When I started I had no one to help me or guide me. So, I know what it feels like to be lost somewhere in the entertainment business,” he says.

The source reveals more details about the website, “As Sushant is promoting his film and has a choc-o-bloc schedule, he hasn’t had enough time to set the website up. However, since the word has spread, several budding writers have been sending their scripts to his agency. Sushant, who is an avid reader, goes through them whenever time permits. He has also been chatting with his fans over Instagram and Twitter to understand the kind of films they want to watch. The website is currently under construction. Sushant will make a formal announcement once things are confirmed.”
