This Bollywood Actress Is The Lead Lady In SLB’s Next ‘Gustakhiyan’

It was shortly announced that Sanjay Leela Bhansali (SLB) is planning to take up his much awaited project, a biopic on Sahir Ludhianvi. The film is touted to be titled as ‘Gustakhiyan’. Moreover, yesterday, December 23, it was divulged that Sanjay has booked Shah Rukh Khan to play the titular role in the film. Here is another update regarding this film.

Reports are rife that Bhansali has booked her Kashibai from ‘Bajirao Mastani’ as the female lead opposite King Khan. ‘Gustakhiyan’ will mark SLB’s second inning with former Miss World Priyanka Chopra. A source close to the development of the biopic told a newspaper, “Priyanka has met and discussed scripts with seven Bollywood directors over the last four months. She is being very selective as her calendar is choc-o-bloc till 2018 since the chance of 'Quantico' getting a third season is high”.

A biopic on Urdu poet-lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi has been on the mind of the ace filmmaker from a long time back. He first announced the desire to make a film on the poet in 2015. It is presumed that once Sanjay wraps up his on-going project ‘Padmavati’, starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, he will start working on the touted film with PeeCee and SRK.
