Varun Dhawan To Star In Abhishek Verman’s Shiddat?

Speculations are rife that actor Varun Dhawan has signed Shiddat. The movie will be helmed by Abhishek Verman, who made his directorial debut with the romantic drama, 2 States (2014). Touted to be a period love story set in the partition time, the upcoming flick was actually Karan Johar’s idea initially.

According to a report in Super Cinema, the movie will be jointly produced by Dharma Productions and Sajid Nadiadwala. The two co-producers also collaborated with Abhishek for his maiden venture. Set in the era of 1940’s and 1950's, the flick will reportedly have two actresses and another actor too.

Varun will be next seen on the silver screen in the much-awaited movie Dishoom. The action-adventure also stars John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez and Akshaye Khanna. Reportedly, Nargis Fakhri will be seen in a cameo role in the flick. Directed by Rohit Dhawan, the movie is slated to be released on July 29.
