WHOA! Kapil Sharma Plans To Come On Netflix India

Comedian Kapil Sharma must be having a whale of time as his plate is full of different projects. After a tiff with Sunil Grover, TRP of his show The Kapil Sharma show went down. There were rumours that because of the low TRP’s Kapil might leave the show. However, now the comedian will be there to entertain you with his comedy antics as his contract with Sony Entertainment Television has been renewed for one more year.

Not only the TV show, he is also doing a film titled Firangi that features Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill. But, it seems like that Kapil is not satisfied with the projects that he has on his plate. He wants to do something big.

After doing TV show and films, Kapil wants to foray into the next big medium, which is digital. If you remember, Kapil started off his career as a stand-up comedian. Well, Kapil wants to go back again to doing stand-up comedy. But, this time he will do it on Netflix India, which he believes to be the future of entertainment.

“Kapil has been having meetings with Netflix India. He is very keen to do a stand-up comedy show with the digital channel. He strongly feels that digital is the future of entertainment in India. In fact, he has been having meetings with Amazon and Hotstar as well. It ultimately boils down on the moolah he will get from a particular channel. Kapil appreciates the medium because of the audience it caters to and lack of restrictions,” revealed a source to Bollywood Life.  Well, it would be interesting to see Kapil doing stand-up comedy on a digital platform like Netflix.
