Why did Saif Make Volte-Face Over Sara’s Debut In Bollywood?

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan’s debut in Bollywood has been in the news for quite a long time. Earlier, it was reported that she would be making her debut in Student Of The Year 2, but, it seems that Amrita was not keen her to do the film. Later, it was reported that she would be debuting with Sushant Sing Rajput in director Abhishek Kapoor’s movie.

Sara has lately been seen attending various events accompanied by mother Amrita, which shows that Amrita is in full support of her daughter making it big in the film industry. However, dad Saif is not in support of her daughter entering Bollywood. Recently, he told a newspaper that he fears Sara making debut in Bollywood as he never wanted her to do, considering that the Pataudi house has four women, Sharmila Tagore, Amrita Singh, Kareena Kapoor and Soha Ali Khan, who are well established actress.

But, now when asked from Saif about Sara’s Bollywood debut, he completely diverted from his earlier statement.  “I am happy that Sara is doing something that she is very passionate about. She is a well-educated, bright girl with a mind of her own. She knows what is right and wrong and she can take a call on that,” said Saif.

We have also heard that when Sara told the Nawab of Pataudi about her Bollywood plans, he made volte-face without uttering a word. It was believed that the reason for this was because Sara directly came to him and told him about her plans. She also told him that it was her decision and she has full support of Amrita.
