Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover Talk About Han Solo Film

Lucasfilm revealed last week that Donald Glover has been roped in to play young Lando Calrissian in the Han Solo film. He will be joining Alden Ehrenreich who plays the titular character. The movie will tell the origin story of the intergalactic smuggler. Recently, Ehrenreich spoke about the role with Interview magazine and shared that he auditioned on the Millennium Falcon for one of his screen tests.

“I had an audition process that went on for a long time, and I got to spend a lot of time with the guys who are directing the film. Getting to be around them and being around the world a little bit has been the main experience so far. I did my audition on the Millennium Falcon for one of my screen tests, which was pretty cool”, the actor said.

On the other hand, Donald spoke about being cast in the film on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and said, “I don’t know. I’m very honored. It’s a very big deal”. He also shared that when he was a child, a Lando action figure was the first toy he got from his dad.

The Han Solo film is being directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and will hit the screens in 2018.
