    Benicio del Toro In Talks For Predator Reboot

    The hit 1987 film ‘The Predator’, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead role, is getting a reboot. Variety has reported that ‘Sicario’ actor Benicio del Toro is in talks to play the protagonist in the reboot. The project will be helmed by Shane Black.

    Shane Black is known for his films ‘Kiss Kiss Bang Bang’, ‘Iron Man 3’ and ‘The Nice Guys’. It should be noted that the director was also present in the original film. He played one of the members of Arnold’s team. The reboot is in the works at 20th Century Fox.

    The 1987 film told the story of a group of commandos trying to rescue hostages in a jungle which was inhabited by the extra-terrestrial being, the predator, which was played by Kevin Peter Hall. The movie also starred Carl Weathers and Jesse Ventura and was directed by John McTiernan.

    Benicio was last seen in 'Sicario’ which came out in 2015. He also voiced The Snake in the animated flick ‘The Little Prince’. The 49-year-old actor has a few projects in the pipeline including the next episode in the Star Wars franchise.
