    Former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton, who is a vice chair of the board of the Clinton Foundation, along with Hollywood beauties Blake Lively and Jessica Chastain were among six women who were honoured by Variety magazine for their humanitarian work with organizations helping women and children. Singer-actress Audra McDonald, television personality Gayle King, Viacom media executive Shari Redstone were also honoured for their philanthropic efforts at Variety’s annual Power of Women: New York luncheon on April 21. The event was at held at Cipriani 42nd Street.

    All these six women were selected as Variety‘s Impact Honorees for their humanitarian work. Jessica Chastain was honoured for her commendable work with women's healthcare organization Planned Parenthood. The actress owes her thanks to the organisation for making her what she is today. She depended on the organisation for birth control before becoming such a big star. She said, "I'm the first person in my family ... not to have a baby when I was a teenager, first person to go to college and have a college education and to be able to have the choice in family planning."

    Actress Blake Lively was honoured for her work with the Child Rescue Coalition, an organisation that works to stop child pornography on the internet. Being herself a star, but the 29-year-old felt shy of being present at a luncheon which was bespangled with several well-known people. "Just because of the company I'm in, and you never feel like you deserve to be there, you know?" she said.
