Carice van Houten To Star In ‘The Glass Room’

Dutch actress Carice van Houten is known to have starred in many movies such as Black Book, Valkyrie and Brimstone. The actress is popular for her character as ‘Melidandre’ in the popular drama series ‘Game of Thrones’. According to a story published on timesofindia.indiatimes.com, the actress will be next seen in the upcoming movie ‘The Glass Room’.

‘The Glass Room’ movie will be an adaptation of a 2009 novel with the same title written by Simon Mawer. The movie will depict a love story between two women living in a house in Czechoslovakia, built by celebrity architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Regarding the movie, a source said, “Spanning more than 80 years, the story in the vein of 'The English Patient' and 'Carol' reflects the most dramatic events of the 20th century”.

‘The Glass Room’ is helmed by Julius Sevcik. The movie also stars Hanna Alstrom, Karel Roden, Alexandra Borbely, Roland Moller and Claes Bang. The movie is bankrolled by Rudolf Biermann.
