American actor Chadwick Boseman is all set to be featured in action-thriller '17 Bridges'. Boseman will portray a disgraced NYPD detective who, after being thrust into a citywide manhunt for a cop killer, is given a shot at redemption. As per the reports, the 'Black Panther' is re-teaming with 'Avengers: Infinity War' filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo for the project.

“STX has assembled a dream team of collaborators on ’17 Bridges,’ bringing together the global talents behind two of the biggest action films ever made to give audiences a thrilling new take on the race-against-the-clock crime-drama,” STXfilms chairman Adam Fogelson said.  Boseman will also produce, along with his writing and producing partner Logan Coles. '17 Bridges' is an addition to STX Entertainment's string of projects including soon-to-be-released 'Mile 22’.

The actor was born and brought up in South Carolina. He is known for portraying Thurgood Marshall in 'Marshall' (2017), and Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films 'Captain America: Civil War' (2016), 'Black Panther' (2018), and 'Avengers: Infinity War' (2018). It would be interesting to see him playing a totally different role this time.
