Actress Christina Hendricks has been approached to star in NBC’s upcoming drama ‘Good Girls’. The Mad Men star has replaced Kathleen Rose Perkins, who played the role in the pilot, which was directed and produced by Dean Parisot. Actresses Mae Whitman and Retta have also been cast alongside Christina.

The story of Good Girls revolves around three suburban moms, played by Hendricks, Whitman and Retta who are facing money problem. Tired of making their ends meet, they decide to rob a local supermarket at toy gunpoint. However, the manager of the supermarket recognises one of them, thereby making it difficult for them to rob. Later, the three realise that it is easy to think but far more difficult to do it.

Apart from the three actresses, the series also stars Reno Wilson, Manny Montana, Lidya Jewett, Izzy Stannard and Matthew Lillard.  The show has been hailed as a comedy-infused drama that blends a bit of Thelma & Louise and Breaking Bad. Shondaland alum Jenna Bans will co-produce the series along with Jeannine Renshaw, while Dean Parisot will helm it.
