David Owen Russell to be honoured with Outstanding Director Award at Santa Barbara International Film Festival

Director David Owen Russell has won many awards in his career span and his latest master piece, American Hustle is too winning him many more. The hot news is this that the ace filmmaker will now be honoured with Outstanding Director Award at Santa Barbara International Film Festival on January 31.

Roger Durling, SBIFF’s executive director said, “As a writer and director, he is not afraid to push the envelope in the cinematic world. He has the eye for the picture he wants to present and then does so, with an expertise that is as bold as it is a joy to watch.” The festival will commence from January 30 and will go on till February 9.
