Demi Lovato's Ex-Boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama Felt Shocked Over Her Apparent Overdose

Singer Demi Lovato was found unconscious in her house and was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital. As per the reports, Demi had a heroin overdose, her rep confirmed that it was not the case and that she is currently stable. And to what came as surprise, Demi's ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama was shocked to know about Demi's apparent overdose.

Demi's rep shared a statement which reads as, "Demi is awake and with her family who wants to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support. Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now”. The singer has been battling with addiction, mental illness and eating disorders for years.

Many of her close friends including Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Ariana Grande came out in support of the singer. if we go by the reports, Valderrama knew she was going through a tough time but he wasn’t prepared for this and to see her back in such a sad and vulnerable place is heartbreaking for him. Notably, last year, Demi had opened up about Wilmer sharing that she "never loved anybody like I loved Wilmer".

Moreover, the two started dating in 2010 and after 6 years of togetherness, they called it quits in 2016. The duo issued a joint statement which reads as, "This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as friends. We will always be supportive of one another. Thank you to everyone who has offered us kindness and support over the years”.
