Not too long ago, it was announced that the Star Wars series would get at least 20 books including novels, storybooks and sticker books. Lucasfilm has now released details on these books which include cover art and plot descriptions. Titles for some of these books are: Star Wars: Aftermath, Star Wars: Lost Stars, Star Wars: The Weapon of a Jedi — A Luke Skywalker Adventure, Star Wars: Moving Target — A Princess Leia Adventure, Star Wars: Smuggler’s Run — A Han Solo & Chewbacca Adventure, among others.

The aim of these books is to connect the plot of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi to Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens and also to provide as much information on the Star Wars universe as possible. Episode VI was released in 1983 whereas Episode VII will be releasing in December, this year. The Force Awakens will star Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, Gwendoline Christie and several other actors.

A comic titled ‘Star Wars: Shattered Empire’ will provide information on the time period between Episode VI and Episode VII. It will cover events that took place right after the Battle of Endor, and the destruction of the second Death Star. The first issue of the comic will be released on September 1.
