Filmmaker Woody Allen’s adopted daughter Dylan Farrow once again attacked the former in an open letter to the New York Times alleging him of child sexual abuse. This time she also mentioned Diane Keaton’s name in the letter asking, "You knew me when I was a little girl, Diane Keaton. Have you forgotten me?" Keaton has spoken out in defence of the filmmaker in an interview with a leading international daily, though.

The 68-year-old Academy Award winning actress had a short-term love story with Allen in the 1970s when their big screen partnership commenced. She has also shed some light on the fall-out between Allen and the Farrows. Keaton said about the mention of her name in Farrow’s editorial, "Who else are they going to drag in? They have to drag someone in. I don't resent it, not for a second." She said in the interview, "I saw [Dylan] maybe three times.” "I didn't know her. It's not a bad accusation. I was never friends with Mia -- I was friendly,” she added. Keaton wholeheartedly defended her old flame regarding the sexual abuse allegations, "I have nothing to say that about that. Except: I believe my friend." Keaton also admitted, "I love him", adding, Allen is "the strongest person I've met in my life... He's made of steel."
