Elisabeth Moss Clarifies Her Viewpoint About ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’!

American movie actor Elisabeth Moss is known to have starred in Television shows such as Mad Men and Top of the Luck. The actress is currently starring in ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’. Recently, Moss’s statement regarding her current TV show backfired when she termed the storyline of the show as not a feminist story.

Now, the 35-year-old actress was quoted as saying, “That was my mistake in the sense that I should have been much clearer. What I should have said is that it is not only a feminist story but it is also a human story. Obviously it is first and foremost a feminist story”. She further said, “I play a woman who has had her child and her family taken away from her, and all of her rights as a woman stripped and who is essentially a prisoner”.

She ended her statement saying, “But I was trying to say that it was also a human story in the sense that there are other groups other races, colours and creeds who are punished and maligned and are not given the right to be heard as well”. ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ is based on Margaret Atwood's 1985 classic.
