Deadline has brought word that Rocky star Sylvester Stallone and Rush Hour star Jackie Chan have joined the cast of ‘Ex-Baghdad’. The flick is being directed by Scott Waugh and has a budget of $80 million. Along with starring in it, Jackie Chan will also act as producer through his banner SR Media with QI Jianhong and Esmond Ren from Talent International and Hans Canosa.

The plot of the film states that Chan will play a Chinese private security contractor while Stallone will play the role of an American former Marine. Chan will be teaming up with Stallone to stop attackers who are targeting a China-run oil refinery in Mosul, Iraq. The script for the flick has been penned by Arash Amel.

This will be the second time Chan and Stallone will be teaming up for a project. Their first film together was back in 2002 and was titled ‘Ultimate Fights’. It also starred Jason Statham, Brad Pitt, Al Pacino and Wesley Snipes. The Shanghai Knights actor was last seen in ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ which was a Chinese-Indian co-production. On the other hand, Stallone can be seen on the big screen in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’.
