The Resident Evil franchise started back in 2002 with Milla Jovovich playing the lead role of Alice. The movie had been loosely based on the video game series by Capcom. Paul W. S. Anderson directed by project and was also the writer and producer for it. Now, the last instalment in the series, ‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’ is being developed with Milla reprising her role.

Recently, the actress shared that the franchise has been more than just a movie for her. She credits the films for giving her a family. “I think that the franchise has definitely made me who I am today. And I have two kids and an amazing husband because of it”, she shared. Milla married Paul back in 2009, whom she first met in 2002, during the shoot for the first part.

The Final Chapter also stars Milla’s oldest daughter, Ever Gabo, playing the role of the Red Queen. This made the film a “real family affair” for the actress. ‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’ will be released on January 27 next year.
