Forest Whitaker, Vince Vaughn Starring In The Archbishop And The Antichrist

Producer Craig Baumgarten has announced that the upcoming drama The Archbishop and the Antichrist will star Forest Whitaker and Vince Vaughn. The film will be directed by Roland Joffé who is known for the films The Killing Fields and The Scarlet Letter. It will be based on the play by Michael Ashton.

President of 13 Films Tannaz Anisi stated, “Forest Whitaker brings a great sense of depth and power to all his performances and he is the perfect match for Tutu’s complex character. Vince Vaughn continues to prove his wide-ranging acting skills following his more dramatic roles in ‘Into the Wild’ and the upcoming ‘Hacksaw Ridge.’ Under the direction of Roland Joffé, their combined star power and talent is undeniable”.

The fiction will revolve around Archbishop Desmond Tutu, played by Whitaker and murderer Piet Blomfield, played by Vaughn. Whitaker is currently working on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story while Vaughn is busy with Hacksaw Ridge. Kim Ashton will be producing alongside Craig Baumgarten.
