The Girl on the Train Trailer Released

The upcoming big screen adaptation of the novel ‘The Girl on the Train’ by Paula Hawkins has got its first official trailer released by Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures. The movie stars Emily Blunt as the lead actress Rachel Watson. Directed by Tate Taylor, ‘The Girl on the Train’ will be released on October 7.

The movie tells the story of Rachel, who recently went through a divorce and finds comfort in looking at a seemingly perfect couple from the train on her daily commute. One day, she observes something shocking and what follows is a mystery that slowly unfolds with Rachel supposedly at the centre of it. The trailer brings to light, some details on the plot and the characters involved.

Along with Emily, the movie will also star Haley Bennett, Luke Evans, Rebecca Ferguson, Justin Theroux, Laura Prepon and Edgar Ramírez. The screenplay has been written by Erin Cressida Wilson and Taylor. Marc Platt has produced the film with Jared LeBoff and Celia Costas serving as executive producers.
