Guess Who Is Interested To Portray 'The Joker'?

Hollywood star Joaquin Phoenix is known to have starred in movies such as Gladiator, Hotel Rwanda and Buffalo Soldiers. He is popular for his character Theodore in the 2013 movie Her. In a recent revelation, Joaquin is said to be interested to portray the character of ‘ Joker ’ in the much talked about upcoming standalone ‘Joker’ movie.

Jeff Sneider of the production house Tracking Board took to his Twitter handle and revealed some important information about the upcoming standalone ‘Joker’ movie. Sneider posted a portion of the press release which comprised of details involving Joaquin Phoenix marked as interested for the lead role, the upcoming project’s schedule and the start date of production i.e. May 1, 2018.

The uploaded portion also involved other major information such as the storyline of the movie, which will place emphasis on the origin story of ‘The Joker’. The storyline of the standalone movie will have a backdrop of the 1980s and is deemed to be a crime-oriented movie unlike the comic-book movies in the recent past. Director Martin Scorsese will be the producer of the upcoming project. The movie will be helmed by Todd Phillips and the script will be co-written by Scott Silver.
