Screenwriter-producer-director Guy Ritchie may go on to direct a six-film King Arthur franchise with Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. Ritchie has tried to helm the project four years back as well in 2010, but the maker failed to capitalise on it. Guy is best known for directing Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and if he go behinds the camera for a series of flicks; it will surely be an entertainer.

Previously, it was said that the first part of the series will be based on Thomas Mallory’s Le Morte d'Arthur, a written piece of eight different books and is a definite source for Arthurian legend. Reportedly, Joby Harold is already done with the script of the first instalment. The writer will also co-produce the movie with Akiva Goldsman, Tory Tunnell and Lionel Wigram. It will be interesting to see what the final outcome will be.
